Chris Dittmar visits the historic Customs House at Port MacDonnell. This impressive building once housed the policeman's quarters and jail. It was also the schoolmaster's residence and the harbourmaster called it home as well. Over the years it's seen service as a post office, original telephone and cable exchange and of course the Customs Office. Its latest reincarnation has seen the building transformed into two luxury self catering accommodation suites. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Limestone Coast caves and wineries or for travellers exploring the Great Ocean Road.
