Chris Dittmar heads off the beaten track on Kangaroo Island to visit Chapman River Wines. Owners Bruce and Diana Keir fell in love with the island whilst on holidays there and decided to plant some grapes and create their own idyllic hideaway. The cellar door building is a converted aircraft hanger and consequently still boasts its own aircraft strip. Apart from the wine you'll also find an art gallery and café, offering KI seasonal platters plus coffee & cake.
