Pete Michell stops in at the Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta. The Centre has recently undergone a 1 million dollar facelift and now has even more interactive displays. Wadlata's time tunnel takes visitors on a journey into the history and development of the Flinders Ranges and Outback. The geology, indigenous heritage, mining and European settlement of the area unfold as you walk through the display. This is also a great place to stop off and stretch your legs before heading to the Flinders Ranges and Outback - Travellers will find a great deal of valuable tourism information at this "must-do" stop-off point on our east-west Highway.
