It's a bumper season at the Head of the Bight - Chris Dittmar heads west to witness a winter playground (and parade ground ) for Southern Right Whales. There are approximately 15,000 Southern Right Whales in the world and each year many arrive here between June and October to calve and mate.During whale season up to 300 people come to Head of the Bight everyday.The viewing platforms are open from 9 am to 5pm all year around for travellers who want to stop and see this amazing slice of the Bight.
