A 14 year old William Blackeby became South Australia's first apprentice of any trade back in 1883. He choose confectionery and, 3 generations later, Blackeby's has continued its very sweet success story. Blackeby's James Place store stocks over a thousand different types of sweets including a full range of their South Australian-made products. They also specialise in overseas confectionery - particularly lines from America and United Kingdom.
