Decadent Choccy Tart – Perfect for a Celebration!

Mark Soderstrom joins Chef Pete Milosevic to cook a decadent treat in celebration of our 300th show.
Take some eggs, chocolate, butter and coffee, cook in a pastry tart shell for 45 minutes and Voila! - a sweet treat to please any chocolate lover. Add some spiced strawberries for extra sweetness and colour!
CHOCOLATE TART AND SPICED STRWBERRIES
Ingredients
1 prepared sweet pastry shell
600gms quality, milk chocolate
4 eggs
8 egg yolks
120gms castor sugar
400gms butter
40ml espresso coffee
Method
• Melt chocolate and butter in a bowl over hot water, while that is melting mix together sugar, eggs, yolks and cooled coffee until well combined.
• Add melted butter and chocolate to the egg mixture and pour into prepared pastry shell.
• Bake for 45minutes at 140c allow to cool in tart tin before removing, dust with coco and serve with spiced strawberries.
For the strawberries combine 1tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg and ½ tsp cracked black pepper and toss over quartered strawberries.
