The Anzac Legend was born at Gallipoli, a place which saw the death of more than 8,000 soldiers. During a campaign which lasted 8 months extraordinary stories of sacrifice and courage arose, now defined as the Anzac spirit. Graeme Goodings takes a closer look at the Gallipoli VC medals which are now on display at the State Library until the 8th of August.
