SA History on Glass - Paddle Steamers

Information

River Trade was an important part of South Australia's economy for nearly a century. Barges and working paddle steamers were a common sight on the Murray from the mid 1800's as they traversed the waterway carrying goods such as wool, sheepskins, tallow, flour,
fruit and fencing wire.
