Pete Michell visits the man-made Laratinga Wetlands in Mount Barker. Waste and Grey water collected from Mount Barker, Nairne and Littlehampton is filtered through a number of high tech processes before finally making its way through to the 17 and a half hectares of wetlands. There's also a network of shared walking & cycling trails around the wetlands as well as BBQ facilites, sheltered tables and toilet facilities - a great spot to take the family and make a day of it.
